FAQs

Do I need a visa for Switzerland?

Switzerland is part of the Schengen Zone. Visitors from many countries can enter for up to 90 days without a visa, but it’s best to check your country’s specific requirements before traveling.

What’s the best time to visit Switzerland?

Switzerland is worth a visit all year round. It depends also on what your plans are. We offer special winter and summer tours, which are adjusted to the season. Winter is not too cold and summer not too hot either.

Are panoramic train seats easy to book?

Panoramic trains are very popular and not all of the run all year round. That said, the earlier you book with us, the higher the chance to get a seat. For small groups we can normally arrange something with a 4 week notice but you might not be able to seat next to each other.

Do people speak English in Switzerland?

Most people do speak English, especially in the cities and common tourist places. Next to German, French and Italian (the official languages in Switzerland), English is the most common language.

Is Switzerland a safe country to visit?

Switzerland is one of the safest countries in the world. Nevertheless, you should take basic safety precautions, such as keeping an eye on your valuables.
